Meet the SecuriCare Team: Emily

What led you to join SecuriCare?

I joined SecuriCare back in September 2021, this was a leap from what I had done before working in hospitality, I thought I’d take the chance and try something new and its really paid off! I’ve found something I really enjoy!

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I really enjoy the fact it’s a proper routine and even though some of the things I do throughout each day is different it makes it exciting and makes me wonder what each day has instore for me! I really enjoy the people I work with that make the day so much better its like walking into one big family every day!

What’s a typical working day like for you?

A normal day for me includes patient matching, this is where I match the patients to the prescriptions sent in from the surgeries. I will then match the orders that have been placed by the patients to the prescriptions we have received, if there is an issue then I will go back to the surgery via email or post a letter and explain the problem to hopefully rectify it in a good timely manner. I will call the surgeries in the afternoon to chase for prescriptions if we haven’t received them yet or if we still require something so we can send the order out.

What do you get up to in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog Max we live in a little village, so we have lots of beautiful places to take him for a walk. I also enjoy going for meals out and trying new and exciting places to eat. I spend a lot of my free time with my Husband and always trying to find some interesting documentaries to watch.
