Name: Sarah Goldie-Jones
Job Title: Senior Patient Services Administrator
Time with SecuriCare: Three years
What led you to join SecuriCare?
I joined SecuriCare back in May 2016. Not knowing much about the company beforehand, I did some research and saw how many patients were delighted and overjoyed with the service they were receiving, and I definitely wanted to be a part of it. I quickly noticed that everyone was so happy to help and teach me things whilst I was in training which really helped me get to where I am now.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I have learnt so much throughout my time here at SecuriCare and I am still learning more and more every day. I love the environment where I work and I know we all take pride in what we do, we are all doing the best we can and going that extra mile. Working in a small team in admin, we all help each other out to get our workload done. I enjoy that we work hard to get everyone’s supplies out as quickly as possible ensuring our customers get the service and supplies they rely on.
What’s a typical working day like for you?
A typical working day for me in the office is sorting through all paper and electronic prescriptions we receive daily from surgeries and then distributing these between the team. These will then be allocated to the orders that have been placed and get the orders out for delivery. I log the daily emails we receive from patients and nurses, and set up new patients onto our service.
What do you get up to in your spare time?
Whilst I am not at work I like to spend time doing lots of different things from playing badminton on Sunday mornings to watching films and eating out. I am also a big fan of art and photography and studied art & design as well as photography at college. I am also joining a kick-boxing class and looking to start learning a new language, but some days I just enjoy relaxing and catching up on the soaps.
