What led you to join SecuriCare?
I joined SecuriCare back in 2010 because the job role grabbed my attention, as did SecuriCare, because they seemed to really care as a company (and we still do)! I was working for a waste company prior to this and looking for a different environment where I could build a career, and I definitely found that here! I started in the Patient Services team looking after Cumbria, and eventually moved over to the Careline team before being promoted into the Team Leader role.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I thoroughly enjoy speaking to people both on the phone and when out at patient events. As part of the Careline team, we help patients find products that will go some way in rectifying any issues that they might be facing. I love finding solutions, learning about products, and being part of a team that really values our customers’ experiences as the most important part of our role.
What’s a typical working day like for you?
A typical day for me is not so typical at all, you never know what will come your way! My role is to ensure the smooth running of the Careline team, assisting patients and healthcare professionals alike. We are a very active team, so I like to arrive early to work, have my cereal and the first coffee of the day, then catch up with myself and the team before the office gets really busy.
What do you get up to in your spare time?
I’m currently moving to a new house so I generally spend my spare time getting stressed about that! At other times, I really enjoy socialising with friends and family, dining out, bagging a bargain, extreme experiences (the scarier the better) and planning holidays to sunnier climates.
