The process of adjustment is not instant. It will happen over a period of time. We are all individuals and everyone adapts at their own pace, but there is support available.

Remember that your Stoma Care Nurse knows how you feel and knows all the tricks of the trade. Talking to her may help you come to terms with your stoma.
