New video on YouTube! 27 October 2011

SecuriCare has updated its YouTube Channel with a new video! SecuriCare delivery service customers who use a washer recently received samples of Hyperseal Washers along with leek seeds for planting – which we wanted to be the only leeks/leaks on their mind! The Hyperseal washers are ideal for stomas that have crevices, fistulas or scar tissue that make the surrounding stoma site uneven, and they also provide extra security for patients who are worried about leakage. We wonder if some of the people in this video wish they had an equivalent product for their problems with leaks...?

It’s Official: SecuriCare delivers on what it promises! 05 August 2011

CliniMed and SecuriCare Runners Up in Corporate Social Responsibility Award 30 June 2011

CliniMed and SecuriCare are delighted to announce our success at the Buckinghamshire Ambassadors’ Enterprise Awards 2011. Having been shortlisted for the Corporate Social Responsibility Category, we were excited to attend a black tie award ceremony on 9th June at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Marlow. Here we were proud to come second in our category, to no less than household name John Lewis!

The Corporate Social Responsibility Award recognises organisations that demonstrate commitment to the local community through the way business is conducted, the support they give for the people who contribute to its success, and the emphasis they place on sustaining a healthy environment. The Awards overall celebrate business success in Buckinghamshire, and it was very encouraging to see so many local organisations excelling in innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and best practice. Congratulations to all shortlisted companies and winners.

Staff at CliniMed and SecuriCare have enjoyed being involved with many projects in the local community. Through 2010 and 2011, these have included rejuvenating Ash Hill Primary School’s playground; putting up some much needed shelves for a storage cupboard at the Hairoun Day Centre for the elderly in High Wycombe, where we had previously renovated the garden and continue with maintenance work; and collecting two brimming car loads of clothes and linen from staff for the DebRA charity shop in High Wycombe.

We also support a number of national charities, including Breakaway activity breaks for children with bowel/ bladder diversions and dysfunctions and their families, and the major stoma patient associations IA, CA and UA. We have hosted several fashion shows using models with stomas to promote positive body image. We also continue to send any appropriate stock not required to charity Jacob’s Well, for onward distribution to developing countries. Our commitment to people within our own companies is demonstrated by our recent Investors in People Silver Award.
